SEO & Answer Engines

Being found when six in ten searches end without a click — which increasingly means being quoted rather than clicked.

The situation

Search changed shape. Zero-click results went from roughly 56% to 69% in a single year once AI overviews arrived, which means a page can rank perfectly and still send you nothing.

The response is not more keywords. It is being the source an answer engine quotes: structural clarity, direct answers, original material nobody else can publish, and a site that is genuinely crawlable rather than merely pretty.

And when a site moves platform — Wix to WordPress, WordPress to custom — the whole thing is at risk. Migrations are where organic traffic quietly dies, usually months later, usually because nobody mapped the redirects.

How we do it

  1. 01

    Baseline honestly

What ranks now, what earns nothing, and what a migration would put at risk. Measured before anything changes.

  2. 02

    Map the demand

What people actually type and ask, separated into what converts and what only flatters a report.

  3. 03

    Fix the structure

Indexable markup, internal linking generated by the content model, schema where it earns its place — not sprayed everywhere.

  4. 04

    Publish what only you can

First-hand material with real numbers. Restated best practice is not citable; your build notes are.

  5. 05

    Migrate without losses

Redirect mapping, parity checks and a post-launch watch. This is the step everyone skips and everyone regrets.

  6. 06

    Hold the position

Monitoring, quarterly schema audit and the ongoing work that keeps a result from decaying.

Questions we get asked

Will I lose my rankings if I move platform?

Not if the migration is planned properly. Losses come from unmapped redirects, changed URL structures and content that quietly did not make the move. We baseline before, map every URL, and watch performance for weeks after launch rather than declaring victory on launch day.

What is GEO, and is it different from SEO?

Generative engine optimisation is being cited inside AI-generated answers rather than ranked as a blue link. It rewards the same fundamentals — crawlable, well-structured, authoritative — plus direct-answer formatting and original material. It is complementary to SEO, not a replacement, and anyone selling it as a separate product is selling you the same work twice.

Do we need an llms.txt file?

No. Google has stated explicitly that llms.txt, content chunking, AI-specific rewrites and excessive schema are not required. It costs nothing to publish one, but it is not the lever. Roughly 80% of the leverage is content quality and third-party presence.

How long before it works?

Technical fixes can move things within weeks. Authority and citation take months and depend on publishing material worth citing. We would rather tell you that up front than sell you a ninety-day miracle.
