Maintenance & Support
Keeping a site fast, secure and current after launch — including when something has already gone wrong.
The situation
A website is not a delivery, it is an asset with a maintenance cost. Left alone, WordPress accumulates vulnerabilities, dependencies drift, performance decays and someone eventually discovers all three at once — usually on a Friday.
We also take on work that is already broken: compromised sites, failed migrations, builds abandoned by whoever made them.
How we do it
- 01
Take inventory
Hosting, dependencies, access, backups and what is actually running. Often the first time anyone has written it down.
- 02
Secure the basics
Access control, credentials, backups tested by restoring them rather than by assuming.
- 03
Patch on a schedule
Updates applied and verified in a staging environment, not straight onto production and hoped for.
- 04
Monitor
Uptime, errors and performance watched so you hear it from us first.
- 05
Respond
Acknowledged and assessed within 24 hours where reasonably possible.
- 06
Improve
A prioritised backlog, so support does not only mean standing still.
What you get
- Managed updates, patching and dependency management
- Backups with tested restores
- Uptime, error and performance monitoring
- Security hardening and incident response
- Malware analysis, removal and forensics where needed
- Ongoing technical support under a service-level agreement
Where this was the substance
Questions we get asked
Is support available 24/7?
No, and we would rather say so than claim it. Requests are acknowledged and assessed within 24 hours where reasonably possible, and support may be provided outside hours depending on availability — but it is not a guaranteed round-the-clock service.
Our site has been hacked. Can you help?
Yes. That work involves identifying the entry point, removing the infection and its persistence mechanisms, hardening what allowed it, and documenting what happened — so it is a fix rather than a clean-up that gets re-infected in a fortnight.
Will you maintain a site you did not build?
Usually. We start with an inventory and an honest assessment — occasionally the right advice is that maintaining it costs more than replacing it, and we will tell you that rather than bill you monthly to keep something alive.
What does it cost?
Custom quoted per client against scope, because a five-page brochure site and a transactional platform carry very different obligations. We do not publish tiers.
Tell us what is changing in the business.
If we are not the right partner for it, we will say so in the first conversation.
